1 Wedding and a Hurricane

Here's just a quick photo that I scanned recently with our new printer/copier/scanner/savior in a box. This was taken about a month ago at somewhere kind of like a country club outside of the city.

"Firsts" from last week (in chronological order)

1.) Paid off Honduran immigration officials to leave the country
2.) Flew over a hurricane
3.) Watched one of my sisters get married
4.) Ate the most American food I've ever eaten in less than one week

It was great to be back in the States for a little bit, especially to see the beautiful fall colors showing up in the trees. It was even better for Megan and I to see Mel get married to a great guy like Steve, and to spend some time with family and friends. You guys really made us feel at home, something we haven't entirely felt in quite a while!

Mom and Dad Fritz - thanks for feeding us relentlessly, taxi-ing us around, borrowing vehicles, giving us a place to sleep and just generally being yourselves. Euchre tournament next time! Dani and Joel - the kids at school loved the horror balls! I had a few students offer to pay me for one. Mom and Dad McAdam - thanks for shuttling us around in Toledo, the cherry pie and salad, the hard fought game of Sequence and the awesome new computer! What a huge help! Heather and Geoff - thanks for taking time off work to hang out with us third-worlders, and Geoff an ENORMOUS thanks from my parents for adopting Napoleon/Spunky (one of their many barn cats) into your apartment. And Mel and Steve - thanks for being the hottest new couple in Michigan! And to all other friends and family - thanks for your continued prayer and support with this crazy but rewarding experience of serving God in Honduras. We love you all and will see you for the holidays!

Wow! Quite the adventures you've been having. Glad you could come home safely for a long weekend to see family and your sister's wedding. May God continue to bless you both abundantly.
