And.....another hurricane
Hi everyone,
Well, we were prepared for the worst. We heard from friends that this hurricane was supposed to be worse than hurricane Mitch. EVERYONE in the city of Tegucigalpa rushed to the supermarket on saturday to stock up on food and water. We got 3 extra gallons of water and then also filled up our large 5 gallon jug with tapwater to use to wash our hands and stuff. We stocked up on non-perishable food that didn't need to be cooked, candles, matches, and we had our flashlight and extra batteries handy. We hardly left the apartment all weekend because the wind was starting to pick up and we were expecting the hurricane to hit anytime. Then on Monday.....NOTHING HAPPENED!!! We didn't even get a strong rain.......NOTHING! All of that worry for nothing. Don't get me wrong, we are thankful for that. The students weren't though. Especially my ninth grade algebra class who had an exam on Monday and were desperately hoping that class would be cancelled. HAHA. Thanks to everyone who was praying for us this weekend.

Ok, if you've ever wondered where we came up with "Mitch" for our dogs name, that's where. He is still huge, and has a tendency to create small hurricanes just by wagging is tail aimlessly. Yeah, he was born that year, and even as a puppy he was still huge.
Megan, if you haven't heard the tails, since you haven't seen Mitch the dog, he is a biiiggg German Shepherd. Some people call him a small horse, (ask Brad)literally. He can swipe his head of the tables and the counter top w/o problems.
